A ball is being held tonight at Himalay Castle. Master Fior himself, the undisputed master of fashion, has traveled all the way from Paris to present the fashion of the future to the princely couple and the entire nobility.
But what’s this? The catchy tunes are accelerating into a chaotic whirl. The servants continue to refuse to polish the shoes set out for them. And someone calls out quite quietly: Na-ho-ta…
A suffocating certainty of ruin is slowly seeping into the frivolous ball of masks, gowns, and hollow rituals. But now, let’s dance! Play on, music!
Because:
who would ask, while the music plays,
whether this is the last dance.
